The SouthCoast Life Science and Technology Park at Fall River
The SouthCoast Life Science and Technology Park at Fall River is located directly off the new interchange exit 8B Innovation Way off Route 24 in Fall River, MA. It consists of 300 pad-ready acres and is fully MEPA permitted for 3 million square feet of R&D, office and industrial use buildings. Designated as a 43D Priority Development Site, the Park has shovel-ready sites with guaranteed 30-day local permitting. The utilities infrastructure for the park is already in place with a 14.6 MGD municipal water capacity and 31 MGD municipal sewer capacity. Electric, gas and telcom infrastructure is already in place as well.
With the Park location directly off Route 24, the site offers excellent visibility with easy access to Rte. I-195, Rte. 495 and Rte. I-95. It is approximately 48 miles to Boston/Logan International Airport and 30 miles to Providence/T.F. Green Airport. Private and public secondary institutions within a 20-mile radius range from Brown University, Providence College, Roger Williams University, Umass Dartmouth, Bristol Community College to Durfee High School, Bishop Connolly High School and Diman Vocational Technical Schoo. Collectively, these institutions and others graduate over 22,000 students annually with undergraduate, advanced degrees and technical certificates.
The SouthCoast Life Science and Technology Park at Fall River is also the home of the new 33,000 square foot University of Massachusetts Bio-manufacturing Facility, which is scheduled to open in fall of 2013. This research facility will allow companies to test their bio-manufacturing process and train their workforce at production scale.
